Report: Barcelona express interest in signing out-of-favour Spurs player

According to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, Barcelona have now enquired about the availability of Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon.

Reguilon is on his way out of Tottenham

Reguilon is on the lookout for a new club, with the left-back evidently not a part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Not only was the Spaniard shipped out on loan by the Australian last summer but the defender also has just a year left on his contract with Spurs, thus making a summer exit inevitable.

However, it is unclear where Reguilon will head this summer, with the likes of Galatasaray (Haber Sarikirmizi) and Sevilla (El Mira) being mooted as potential destinations for the player over recent weeks and months.

Barcelona express interest in Reguilon

It now appears that Barcelona are now ready to offer the Real Madrid academy graduate a route back to Spain.

Thomas has taken to social media to reveal that the Catalan club have made several enquiries to Tottenham over Reguilon.

The report adds that Hasi Flick’s men have asked the North London club about the conditions for a possible deal for Reguilon but have not made an offer yet.

Reguilon’s priority at this stage of his career would be to get back playing regularly and I doubt he is going to do that at Barcelona, with the La Liga giants likely eyeing him as an inexpensive, experienced backup.
