Report: Barcelona have offered World Cup winner to Spurs

According to L’Equipe, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs that have been contacted by Barcelona to assess their interest in signing Antoine Griezmann this summer.

Tottenham confirmed their first signing of the transfer window yesterday following the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

The North Londoners are also said to be in advanced talks with Atalanta for centre-back Cristian Romero (Football.London).

According to reports, the Lilywhites are additionally looking to strengthen their forward line this summer, with the likes of Danny Ings thought to be on the club’s radar.

L’Equipe claim that Barcelona are keen to sell some of their biggest earners to ease their financial issues, with the Frenchman one of those who could depart.

However, the report explains that the Catalans have also offered the World Cup winner to a number of other clubs including Manchester City and Juventus.

It is said that Griezmann wants to return to Atletico Madrid but the 30-year-old’s salary is said to be proving a stumbling block for potential suitors.
