Report: Barcelona player is priority transfer target for Paratici and Conte

TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist for the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old’s current deal at the Camp Nou runs out in the summer and it was previously reported that Spurs were one of the clubs showing interest in landing the winger in the January transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that Barcelona are ‘confident’ that they will be able to reach an agreement with the winger on a new contract.

However, TMW have claimed that Barcelona could decide to cash in on the Dembele in January after agreeing on a deal with Manchester City for Ferran Torres.

The report adds that Spurs want to add an attacking option to their ranks next month, with the Barca winger being the club’s ‘dream’ signing.

It is said that Dembele is at the top of both Antonio Conte’s and Fabio Paratici’s wishlist.

TMW also report that Tottenham have been in touch with the former Borussia Dortmund man’s representatives ‘for some time’.

Spurs Web Opinion

We will have to wait and see how Dembele’s contract talks evolve over the coming days. It will certainly be interesting to see if the signing of Torres will affect Barca’s stance regarding the Frenchman.

If Barca are not able to reach an agreement with the 24-year-old on a new deal, one would expect them to cash in on the winger in January, given that he can leave for free in the summer.
