Report: Bayern Munch set to table bid another low-ball offer for Kane full of clauses

Bayern Munich are set to return to Tottenham with an offer of £75m for Harry Kane, in a deal that will be full of add-ons and clauses that are dependent on how successful the striker is in Germany.

Tottenham are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to Harry Kanes future right now. The 30-year-old is into the final year of his contract at Spurs and is believed to be keen on joining Bayern Munich this summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is hoping he can convince Kane to commit his future to the club with a new contract worth around £400,000 a week (Telegraph). However, Joe Lewis is said to have made it clear that if Kane will not sign a new deal he must be sold this summer (Telegraph).

Kane is thought to be interested in a move to Bayern Munich, who have had two bids rejected for the striker thus far. The German outfit are expected to come back with a new offer imminently and are confident they can wrap up a deal for Kane by early August (Football Insider).

The Telegraph reported this weekend that a breakthrough could occur early next week, as Levy is set to meet with Bayern chiefs to discuss the situation.

Bayern Munich to offer £75m for Harry Kane

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Bayern’s next offer may end up being below the valuation Spurs have set for Kane, and could be full of various performance-related bonuses.

The report reiterates the fact that the North London club are hoping for a deal worth at least £85m for their star man, but Bayern feel that price tag is “extraordinary” and may come in with a bid of around £75m instead, which is around £15m short of Tottenham’s valuation.

The new offer will comprise of various “caveats and clauses” that would be unlocked if Kane “delivers on all fronts” in helping the German side win top honours including the Champions League, and picks up personal awards, too.

It feels as though Bayern are trying to back Tottenham into a corner with these negotiations. They know that Kane wants to leave and the longer the situation goes on, the less time Spurs would have to replace him which will most certainly be playing on Levy’s mind. Hopefully, he stands firm and secures a fair price for Kane.
