Report: Bayern Munich could snap up rumoured Spurs target for just £15m

According to a report from Sport Bild, Bayern Munich have now entered the race for rumoured Tottenham target Marcel Sabitzer.

Sabitzer has been a long-term target for Tottenham, having been linked with a move to the club during the January transfer window.

It was reported back in April that Tottenham were already laying the groundwork for a summer deal for Sabitzer and even Alasdair Gold backed the North Londoners to compete for the Austrian international’s signature.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old, while Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the former Rapid Wein man.

However, if Sport Bild’s latest update is to be believed, Sabitzer could be on his way to Bayern. The report claims that Julian Nagelsmann is keen on reuniting with the versatile midfielder at the Allianz Arena.

The Bundesliga champions are alleged to be working on an €18m (£15.2m) deal for Sabitzer, who is into the final 12 months of his contract at the Red Bull Arena.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that Dele Alli, Ndombele and Lo Celso look likely to stay, I do not expect us to bring in another attacking midfielder this summer. I believe Paratici would prioritise moves for a centre-back, a right-back and a back up striker in the three weeks left of the transfer window.
