Report: Bayern Munich left waiting by Spurs over final Harry Kane bid ahead of midnight deadline

Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to respond to Bayern Munich’s final bid for Harry Kane ahead of their self-imposed midnight deadline, according to The Telegraph’s Chief Football Correspondent, Jason Burt.

The Bundesliga giants are prepared to turn to other striker targets if Tottenham do not finally agree to a deal for the 30-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Thomas Tuchel’s side continually through the summer transfer window (The Telegraph).

Will Spurs accept Bayern Munich’s final bid for Kane?

Burt revealed that Bayern’s final offer is near the €100million (£86.3million) figure and are now awaiting to see whether Daniel Levy is prepared to give the transfer the green light.

Burt wrote on Twitter/X: “Bayern Munich still waiting for Tottenham Hotspur’s answer as to whether they will accept their final bid for Harry Kane ahead of a self-imposed midnight deadline set by the German club.

“Offer is close to but less than 100m euros. Will Spurs respond?”

Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe flew to London on Monday to hold talks with Levy for his club record goalscorer with negotiations failing to reach a breakthrough, with there understood to have been a difference of around £20 million in what Bayern were prepared to offer and what Spurs would accept when both clubs met.

A bid of just less than £86.3million is lower than what Daniel Levy would like for Harry Kane, however, it remains to be seen whether he is prepared to take the offer in order to eliminate the risk of the England captain facing Tottenham for a Premier League rival next season.
