Report: Bayern Munich offer World Cup winner to Spurs in exchange for 23-year-old

According to a report from ESPN, Bayern Munich are interested in snapping up Tanguy Ndombele and are willing to offer winger, Corentin Tolisso to Spurs in exchange for the midfielder.

Ndombele’s future has been subject to plenty of speculation over the past 48 hours after the midfielder was once again an unused substitute in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over West Ham United.

Reports have suggested that Jose Mourinho has not been entirely happy with the midfielder’s effort in training and the relationship between the pair is strained (The Athletic).

L’Equipe claimed that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain could both be ready to take advantage of the standoff between the Spurs boss and Ndombele by swooping for the French international this summer.

ESPN now reveals that Bayern may also be interested in the 23-year-old should he become available this summer.

The report claims that the Bavarian giants are looking to find a buyer for Tolisso when the transfer market opens. It is suggested that they could offer the pacy winger plus cash to Tottenham in order to land Ndombele.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Ndombele is not going to feature much until the end of the season (which looks likely), it would make sense for the club to cash in on him. However, no club is going to be in a position to pay the kind of money that we paid Lyon to sign the midfielder last summer. Therefore, I can certainly see him being used in a swap deal. While I expect us to sign another wide player this summer as a backup, I do not expect us to go for someone of Tolisso’s quality, given the wide options we already have.
