Report: Bayern Munich set midnight deadline for Spurs on Harry Kane decision

The Telegraph have reported that Bayern Munich have set a deadline for Tottenham to accept or reject their latest Harry Kane offer.

The Lilywhites are said to have until midnight tonight (Friday) to decide whether they are happy with Bayern’s valuation of the England captain.

The Bundesliga champions are considering looking at other alternatives if Tottenham do not accept their offer, because all parties want a quick resolution to the situation.

The report claims that if a deal is not agreed, Harry Kane is now expected to stay in North London for one last season before leaving on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.

Harry Kane has no interest in new Spurs contract

Apparently, there are no indications that Kane wants to sign a new Tottenham contract, despite being offered one, meaning Spurs have to decide between selling now or losing him for free later.

Despite the deadline, there remains a ‘cautious confidence’ that a deal can be reached this summer. Tottenham are demanding at least £86.1m with add-ons to part with their main man.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Harry Kane has told Spurs he is 100% not signing a new contract, then they should sell now. If he remains at least a little open to it, then I don’t see why they shouldn’t hold firm in their demands and possibly roll the dice on keeping him for one last season.
