Report: Bayern Munich set sights on Spurs star after ‘contract stalemate’

Bayern Munich have reportedly set their sights on signing Tottenham Hotspur star, Heung-min Son and are not afraid of waiting for their transfer target.

The German champions are said to be willing to delay a move for a year if needs be and have apparently been alerted to a ‘contract stalemate’ between Spurs and Son.

Football Insider claim that a source from within Tottenham has told them that the South Korean was offered a new five-year contract worth over £200,000 per week.

It is said that Son was ready to sign this deal just before Christmas, but things were delayed and put on hold until the summer.

Son’s current contract runs until 2023 and Football Insider claim that Bayern are willing to wait until the winger has just a year left in North London. Of course, Son has experience in the Bundesliga from his time with Hamburger and Bayer Leverkusen.

The Spurs man has recorded an incredible 18 goals and 16 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions so far this season (TransferMarkt).
