According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are set to launch an opening offer for RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer, who is thought to be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
Laimer is reported to be one of the midfield options on Antonio Conte’s wishlist, with Bild previously claiming that Spurs have followed the 24-year-old’s progress for the last two years.
Although the midfielder has not been a regular in Leipzig’s starting eleven this season, he has managed eleven goal contributions across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
The versatile midfielder has just twelve months left to run on his contract at the Red Bull Arena, with Kicker being the first to report last month that Bayern could enter the race for the Austrian international’s signature.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Bayern are preparing an opening offer of around €18m-€20m (£15.3m-£17.1m) for Laimer.
The journalist revealed that Julian Naggelsmann is ‘pushing’ for the 24-year-old’s signature but added that the midfielder is also attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

Laimer’s versatility would give Conte plenty of options as the 24-year-old would be able to play as a number six, a number eight or even as a right wing-back if required.
If we are looking for a replacement for Winks, I think the Austrian would represent much better value for money than the other options we have been linked with, such as Tielemans and Neves.
