Report: Betis considering Tottenham’s offer for Lo Celso

Tottenham Hotspur and Real Betis have been locked in negotiations for midfielder Giovani Lo Celso all summer but both clubs are yet to agree on a valuation for the midfielder with just under 48 hours of the transfer window left.

However, reports emerging from Spain seem to indicate that Lo Celso remaining at Betis is looking increasingly unlikely with the player known to be keen on making the move to North London before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.

El Larguero claim that Tottenham’s highest offer so far is £50 million and that Betis are now considering accepting the offer. It is suggested that the La Liga club expect to lose Lo Celso before the end of the summer.

Meanwhile, Onda Cero claim that the Betis hierarchy still expects Tottenham to accelerate their move for Lo Celso in the final few days of the window.

Sevilla ABC reports that Betis expected Spurs to return with a better offer for Lo Celso when they refused to negotiate with Tottenham a few days ago but the Lilywhites instead began negotiating for other players.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is clear that both sides are trying to get the best deal they possibly can. With less than 48 hours left in the transfer market, hopefully, Betis will blink and accept the fee Spurs have offered for Lo Celso. Tottenham’s interest in Fernandes seems to indicate that they are not yet certain of securing Lo Celso.
