Report: Billionaire denies lining up investment deal in Tottenham

Singapore consumer internet company Sea have denied lining up an investment deal in Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Telegraph.

Group chairman and chief executive Forrest Li was recently a guest of Daniel Levy at a home Tottenham Hotspur fixture, with the pair said to be good friends.

Li is said to have a personal net worth estimated at around £15billion and already owns Singapore Premier League club Lion City Sailors.

Levy has been at the helm in North London since 2001 when ENIC took over the majority shareholding from Alan Sugar and today own 85.5 percent of the Premier League club.

The 59-year-old is rumoured to value Tottenham at £3.5 billion and has been seeking a £25 million-a-year naming rights deal for the club’s state of the art stadium.
