Report: Borussia Dortmund are in disarray ahead of Spurs game

Tottenham Hotspur may have dropped eight points in their last three Premier League games, but they are presented with the perfect chance to get back on track tomorrow night.

Spurs head into the second leg in the Champions League round of 16 away to Borussia Dortmund with a healthy 3-0 lead.

If the Lilywhites manage one away goal in Germany, Dortmund will need five to overturn the result.

However, the Dortmund Spurs will come up against are no longer the swashbuckling side of a month ago, with the Daily Mail claiming they are now in ‘disarray’.

At the time Spurs were drawn against Dortmund, they were nine points clear at the top of the German League, a lead they are now only clinging onto by the skin of their teeth.

Dortmund drew 1-1 to Frankfurt in the League on February 2, before crashing out of the German Cup on penalties a few days later. On February 9, they threw away a 3-0 lead to draw to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund then collapsed to concede three second half goals against Spurs at Wembley, and things haven’t looked any better since.

Although they picked up three points against Leverkusen last week, this came either side of a 0-0 draw and most recently a 2-1 loss to Augsburg.

Dortmund are now level on 54 points with Bayern at the top of the League, out of the German cup, and face a huge uphill battle in the Champions League.

Spurs have the perfect chance to turn around their own fortunes and deliver the knockout blow.
