Report: Spanish international offered on loan to Tottenham and Man United

It has been reported today that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both been offered Borussia Dortmund striker Paco Alcacer on loan in the January transfer window (90 Min).

This comes as Tottenham have lost Harry Kane to a long-term hamstring injury, while Manchester United are also without Marcus Rashford.

Kane managed to rupture the tendon in his left hamstring against Southampton on New Years Day and has since undergone surgery, with an expected return in April.

Spurs do not have another natural striker option within their squad since the departure of both Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente in the summer.

Lucas Moura has been filling in, while Heung Min Son is another option and 17-year-old Troy Parrott has impressed within the academy set-up.

Dortmund have now offered Alacer as a solution to Spurs on a temporary deal, as the Spaniard has been in and out of the squad this season. Erling Haaland is also now on the scene for Dortmund after his debut hat-trick at the weekend.

Alcacer has scored 26 goals in 46 games for Dortmund, as well as scoring 15 in 50 for Barcelona (Wikipedia).

Spurs Web Opinion:

He is experienced, he is strong, he has played at big clubs, he has played on the biggest stages. Alacer would be an incredible short-term solution for Spurs.
