Report: Bournemouth ball boy was removed after clashing with Spurs star

The Daily Star have revealed that the ball boy who clashed with Lucas Moura in the second half at the Vitaly Stadium, was removed following the confrontation.

Bournemouth had raced into a 2-0 lead earlier in the game, thus leaving Spurs staring at a third consecutive loss in the Premier League.

However, Antonio Conte’s men fought back to draw level with goals from Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies, and were putting the Cherries backline under tremendous pressure as they went in search of a late winner.

That is when an incident occurred between a ball boy and Moura, who was trying to take a quick throw after the ball went out of play.

There was then a momentary tussle between him and the Brazilian, which led to an uproar from the home fans while Bournemouth star Jaidon Anthony rushed over the confront the Spurs winger.

The Daily Star have revealed that the ball boy was escorted away from the touchline and down the tunnel by a steward immediately after the incident.

It was Tottenham who had the last laugh as Rodrigo Bentancur come off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner to complete a fantastic turnaround.

Lucas was well within his rights to try and grab the ball off the ball boy, who clearly was trying to hold on to it to stop the Brazilian from taking a quick throw-in. The Brazilian certainly did not push the kid and was only trying to get his hands on the ball
