Report: Bournemouth make transfer decision on Wilson and Brooks amid Spurs interest

Bournemouth have decided that they will not entertain offers for rumoured Tottenham target, David Brooks, this summer, according to a report in The Daily Star.

Spurs are reportedly interested in Brooks along with his teammate Callum Wilson following the Cherries relegation from the Premier League (Mirror).

Tottenham’s chase for the duo seemed anything but straight forward, with Sky Sports revealing that a number of Premier League clubs were eyeing both Wilson and Brooks.

The Daily Star now claim that Bournemouth have decided to attempt to hold onto Brooks despite their relegation to the Championship.

It is claimed that the will have to sell some of their high-earners this summer but Brooks is one player they are desperate to keep.

It is revealed that they have put a £30million price tag on Brooks in an effort to ward off interested clubs.

However, the report suggests that the club have decided to cash-in on Wilson this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not see this as a blow to us as I believe Wilson is the one we need more out of the two. The 28-year-old could be an excellent understudy to Harry Kane and might be a very important addition to the squad as Jose plots an assault on the cup competitions. While Brooks is a fantastic talent, I do not see where he fits into our squad.
