Report: Brentford missing five players for their clash against Tottenham

BBC Sport have revealed that Brentford will be without five first-team players for their trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

The clash against Brentford is an important one for Antonio Conte’s men, who are looking to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to NS Mura in the Europa Conference League last week.

Despite the clash against Burnley being postponed on Sunday, Spurs have a great opportunity to close the gap on the top four places, thanks to other results going their way.

Antonio Conte confirmed in his press conference on Wednesday that Argentine duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso will both miss the clash, with the former expected to be out for at least a month with a hamstring problem.

BBC Sport have revealed that Brentford will also be without some key players for this evening’s clash.

Thoms Frank will have to make do without goalkeeper David Raya, centre-backs, Mathias Jorgensen and Kristoffer Ajer, midfielder Josh Dasilva, and winger Tariqe Fosu.

Out of those five, only Raya, who is Brentford’s number one, and Ajer, who is arguably their best defender, will be big misses. The other three are unlikely to have started anyway.

Thomas Franck’s men always give a good account of themselves, even when they end up on the losing side. So, the match this evening will not be straightforward for Spurs.
