Premier League competition for Samuel Iling-Junior

If TEAMtalk’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham could now have even more competition to contend with for Iling-Junior, with Brighton now said to be exploring a move for the winger.

The outlet states that while Spurs are still leading the race for the Chelsea academy graduate, the Seagulls have a ‘long-standing interest’ in the player and could decide to push ahead with a move for him.

The report adds that the likes of Newcastle United, Fulham and Aston Villa have also shown interest in Iling-Junior in the past.

Finally, the publication asserts that the England Under-21 international is not in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans and that Juventus would be willing to sell him for around £15m.

Spurs Web Opinion

It was inevitable that other Premier League sides would enter the race for Iling-Junior. The one potential advantage that Spurs have is that they could offer the Islington-born 20-year-old a route back to London.

It remains to be seen if Postecoglou can convince the youngster to join the North London side, which the Australian might have difficulty doing if the player is prioritising regular game time over anything else.
