Report: Brighton could be without several key players for their clash against Spurs

In what may come as a potential boost for Spurs, Brighton could be without three key players for their visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Tottenham will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Royal Antwerp on Thursday, which was the club’s first loss in their last eleven games across all competitions.

However, they will not have it easy against the Seagulls, who have been capable of playing any team off the park this season.

Graham Potter’s side will come into the clash against Spurs without their captain, Lewis Dunk, as he is still serving a suspension following a straight red card against Crystal Palace.

Brighton and Hove Albion Independent now report that midfielder, Davy Propper is also a doubt for the clash on Sunday as he continues to recover from an achilles problem.

Speaking about the Dutch international, Potter said: “He’s getting closer and an outside chance he’ll be in the squad on Sunday.”

Meanwhile, the report also confirmed that game against Spurs has come too soon for winger, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury.

Spurs Web Opinion

Davy Propper is an important player for Brighton but given the nature of the system Graham Potter has got them playing, whoever comes in will likely fit seamlessly into their midfield. It is Dunk who will be the much bigger miss for the Seagulls. Given the form Kane and Son are in, hopefully, we can take advantage of his absence.
