Report: Bruno Fernandes claims Spurs player has impressed him this season

As the season draws to a close, attention will slowly turn to the end of the season awards.

Harry Kane surely remains one of the favourites to be named as the Premier League Player of the Year. The Englishman has been sensational throughout the season, despite the majority of his teammates lacking in consistency.

Kane is currently topping the charts both in goals scored and in assists recorded. With just three matches remaining for Spurs, the England captain has scored 21 times and assisted 13 in the league (TransferMarkt).

It is a run of form which also sets him up well for the upcoming Euros this summer with the Three Lions.

The form of Kane has caught the eye of many, but it is one of his biggest rivals for the award who has praised the striker this week.

Bruno Fernandes has spoken of just how impressed he has been the Tottenham man, while also complementing a number of other top Premier League performers this season.

The Portuguese midfielder spoke on the Manchester United website regarding those who have caught his eye throughout the year.

On the Spurs man, Fernandes stated: “Harry Kane is still doing really well in the Tottenham team”

Such comments come after some reports claim Manchester United will look to make a move for Kane over the summer, eyeing a £90 million move for the Englishman (The Sun).

Spurs Web Opinion:

There can be no doubt that Kane should be amongst the favourites for the player of the year award. He has produced remarkable numbers for a side who quite simply haven’t been good enough for the last few months of the season. Kane works incredibly hard for the side, which is reflected in his ability to not just be the top goalscorer, but in his assists too.
