90 min have revealed that Borussia Dortmund are optimistic about their chances of tying down rumoured Tottenham target, Julian Brandt, to a new contract.
After initially struggling to make the expected impact at Dortmund following his switch from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2019, Brandt has been one of the club’s most important players over the last two seasons.
The versatile winger, who can play on either flank or even as an attacking midfielder, has scored nine goals and provided five assists across all competitions so far this season but his current contract at Westfalenstadion has just 15 months left to run (Transfermarkt).
DW reported earlier this week that Tottenham were keeping an eye on the German international and are keen on bringing him to England this summer.
90 min have now also suggested that Brandt is attracting interest from the Premier League but the publication makes no mention of Spurs, instead naming Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United as the four clubs keen on the player.
The publication also explains that Dortmund have already begun talks with the winger over a new deal and suggests that Edin Terzic’s side are confident that Brandt will put pen to paper on a contract.

While Paratici and his network of scouts will be keeping a close eye on various players, Tottenham would have certainly not come close to finalising who their summer transfer targets would be.
The club will first have to narrow in on their next manager before making decisions on which players to pursue.
