Report: Bundesliga club only want £10.5m for Tottenham defensive target

SC Freiburg are reportedly demanding just £10.5m million for Robin Koch this summer, a player who is reportedly on Tottenham’s radar.

Spurs are expected to be in the market for a left-sided centre half in the summer, with Jan Vertonghen set to leave the club when his contract runs out in the summer.

Koch is among the players who have been subsequently linked with the Lilywhites. The centre-back’s impressive performances this season have reportedly attracted the interest of several clubs.

Record (via Sport Witness) reported back in January that Spurs were following the German international’s progress closely, while O Jogo reported last month that Spurs are set to compete with Benfica, Napoli, and RB Leipzig for the defender’s signature this summer

Record now claims that the Bundesliga side are ready to part ways with Koch for just £10.5 million this summer. The report asserts that Spurs face competition from Benfica as well as West Ham to land the centre-back.

Spurs Web Opinion

Koch’s value is bound to go up in a year or two and we may well come to regret not signing him this summer. However, even if that is the case, he would be a risky acquisition given his lack of experience. I expect Jose to bring in a tried and tested centre-half with an experience like Koulibaly.
