Report: Bundesliga club plotting move for Tottenham’s brightest academy talent

Troy Parrott has certainly caught the eye with his impressive performances in the Tottenham Hotspur academy ranks.

The youngster is regarded to be one of the biggest talents to come out of Irish football in recent years and has already played for the Spurs U-21s despite being just 17 years old.

While the striker is yet to start a game for first-team, he has trained with the senior squad on many occasions this season.

According to a report in Football Insider, German outfit RB Leipzig are plotting a summer move for the prolific forward.

The report claims that the Bundesliga giants are keeping tabs on a host of top young talent at England’s leading clubs, and Parrot, in particular, has caught their eye.

After the success of Jadon Sancho at Dortmund, many Bundesliga clubs are looking at young English prospects, while youngsters who play for top teams are now more open to a move away if they see an easier path to first-team football.

In fact, Tottenham recently lost two of their most highly rated academy products in Keanan Bennetts and Reo Griffiths last summer as the pair joined Borussia Monchengladbach and Lyon respectively.

Spurs fans will be hoping the club can convince Parrott to snub Leipzig and fight to break into the Tottenham first team.
