Football Insider have reported that Celtic remain in talks with Kyle Joseph from Wigan Athletic over a potential move to Scotland this summer.
The highly-rated young striker is out of contract at the end of the season and will be able to join another club on a free transfer in the summer.
The report claims that Celtic are trying to sign Joseph up to a pre-contract deal, which is also apparently the aim of Scottish rivals Rangers, as well as Spurs and Newcastle.
A source has told Football Insider that Celtic are still in talks with the 19-year-old over a potential deal, despite the fact that they currently do not have a full-time manager.
It is said that Wigan will only receive a £300,000 compensation payment for any deal if Joseph moves to Celtic, while Spurs and Newcastle would have to pay around £1m.
Spurs already have the promising teenagers Troy Parrott and Dane Scarlett in their ranks but are said to be still looking at Joseph as an added option.
