Report: Centre-back allegedly wanted by Conte could be Liverpool bound

According to Torino Granata, Torino defender Gleison Bremer, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, could be on his way to Liverpool instead.

Since Antonio Conte was appointed as the Tottenham head coach last week, the North London club have been linked with several Serie A centre-backs.

Inter Milan duo Stefan De Vrij and Milan Skriniar, and AC Milan centre-back Alessio Romagnoli are all said to be on Spurs’ radar ahead of the January transfer window.

TuttoSport reported last week that Bremer, who has been a consistent performer for Torino over the last few years, is another central defender that Conte likes.

However, it was explained that the Lilywhites could face competition from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United for the Brazilian.

Torino Granata have now suggested that Anfield is Bremer’s most likely destination. The report claims that the 24-year-old is expected to stay with Torino until the end of the season and complete a move to Jurgen Klopp’s side next summer.

Out of all the central defenders we have been linked with, I suspect Romagnoli is the one the club are most likely to move for in January, particularly since his contract runs out at the end of the season as there are no indications of the defender signing an extension with Milan.
