According to Tuttosport, Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer is taking English lessons amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The report claims that Bremer is guaranteed to leave Torino at the end of the season but his next destination is yet to be determined.
It is alleged that the Brazilian’s decision to extend his contract with Torino until 2024 was only done to ensure that the Serie A club could receive a decent fee for him.
Several Italian and English clubs are said to be ‘crazy’ about the defender on the back of his impressive performances in Turin.
Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli are thought to be keen on Bremer, who is also said to have attracted the interest of several English clubs.
Liverpool are said to be the front-runners for his signature while Spurs and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the player. Curiously, it is revealed that Bremer is now studying English at a specialized language school in Turin.
Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs are unlikely to be in a position to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Man City for Bremer’s signature, given that we might not have Champions League football to offer.
That allied with the fact that Tottenham do not tend to get involved in bidding wars, suggests that we will likely be exploring other centre-back targets apart from the Torino man.
