Report: Championship club considering loan move for rumoured Spurs target

Fulham are considering a move to sign Dean Henderson on loan from Manchester United with Tottenham also showing an interest, according to The Sun.

Henderson has endured a frustrating campaign with the Red Devils, having remained firmly behind David de Gea in the pecking order.

The 25-year-old, who is contracted at Old Trafford until 2025, has made just three appearances all season with none coming in the Premier League (Transfermarkt), and has allegedly grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Ralf Rangnick (Daily Mail).

An exit this summer could be well on the cards with Championship leaders Fulham monitoring his situation to strike a potential loan deal this summer.

The Cottagers currently employ Marek Rodak as their No.1 option, while former Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga acts as the club’s back-up.

A move for Henderson could strike a blow to Spurs, who have also been allegedly keeping track of the out-of-favour goalkeeper (Mirror).

Despite Hugo Lloris agreeing a two-year extension in January, Antonio Conte’s side look set to lose Pierluigi Gollini at the end of the season with a permanent option on his loan unlikely to be exercised (Citta Celeste).

Aside from Lloris, Tottenham do have an issue regarding their other options in goal and signing Henderson would definitely solve that problem.

The difficulty is obviously being able to agree a deal with United considering both sides are directly in competition with each other for a European spot.

Henderson was good at points last season to his credit, but he just hasn’t been able to shift De Gea out of goal this term, which has limited his chances of playing regularly.
