Report: Championship club eyeing move for teenager wanted by Spurs

According to a report from Wales Online, Swansea are lining up a move for Wigan starlet Kyle Joseph, who is also on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

Joseph has impressed in his breakthrough season for Wigan, finding the back of the net five times in League One last campaign.

It was reported at the start of January that Tottenham were set to return with a second offer for the striker after seeing their initial £150,000 bid rejected by Wigan during last summer’s transfer window.

The 19-year-old was also rumoured to be attracting interest from Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal.

Wales Online now reveal that despite Joseph’s contract with Wigan running out this month, clubs who want the striker would still have to pay compensation to the Latics.

The report names Spurs as one of the sides who are still showing interest in the Scotland Under-21 international but add that Swansea are now eyeing up a permanent move for him.
