It has been reported by TeamTalk that Bournemouth are now close to finalising a deal for Tottenham Hotspur central defender, Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The 22-year-old has been in and around the first-team for a number of years now but has never quite been given the chance on the pitch.
Over the past three years, Carter-Vickers has enjoyed five different loan spells in the Championship, playing with Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, and Stole City.
Most recently, Carter-Vickers helped Luton Town to pull off a late U-turn in order to avoid relegation back down into League One.
However, he has only ever made four appearances in a Spurs shirt, despite playing numerous times in pre-season games under both Pochettino and Mourinho (Wikipedia).
Carter-Vickers was last night named on the bench for last night’s Europa League victory against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
TeamTalk now claim that Bournemouth are close to signing Carter-Vickers on a permanent deal, seeing off competition from a number of other interested parties.
