Could Michael Olise be on the move this summer?

Olise was one of the best attacking players on show across the Premier League during the 2023-24 season, terrorised defences with his technical quality and guile, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in just 19 league appearances (Transfermarkt).

It was HITC who first reported back in January that Spurs were interested in the 22-year-old and had already ‘fielded an enquiry’ to his representatives.

The report stated that the Lilywhites would face plenty of competition for the Frenchman, who allegedly has a release clause of over £50m in his contract.

The reports linking Olise with a move to Spurs have died down recently, with various outlets suggesting over recent weeks that the battle for the Eagles star looks set to be between Manchester United and Chelsea (CaughtOffside).

Chelsea agree personal terms with Michael Olise

GiveMeSport have now revealed that the Blues have agreed personal terms with Olise ahead of a potential switch to Stamford Bridge this summer.

It is pointed out that Palace are helpless to stop the attacker from leaving due to his release clause, with Chelsea currently said to be in talks with the Eagles side regarding the scheduling of payments.

The report makes it clear that it is not a done deal just yet and that others such as Man Utd could present an offer for Olise but the West London club are said to be in the driver’s seat, having taken ‘a big step forward’ to land the player.

It does not appear as if Olise is near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist for the summer.

Based on the reports over recent weeks, it seems as if Ange Postecoglou’s men are prioritising a move for the winger’s Palace teammate, Eberechi Eze.
