90 min claim that Chelsea are now keen to accelerate their efforts to tie Conor Gallagher down to a new contract amidst interest from Tottenham.
Gallagher has started all of Chelsea’s Premier League matches this season and has even worn the captain’s armband in the absence of usual skipper Reece James.
However, reports over recent weeks have continued to suggest that Ange Postecoglou’s men are exploring a move for the midfielder in January (Rudy Galatti – Tribal Football).

Chelsea to step up talks with Conor Gallagher
90 min have now stated that Tottenham, West Ham United and Newcastle United have expressed an interest in the Chelsea star, who has a little over 18 months left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
The report reveals that even though Gallagher wanted to stay at his boyhood club in the summer, the Blues did put him up for sale during the previous transfer window.
However, the West London club are thought to have changed their mind about the 23-year-old after Mauricio Pochettino made it clear to the club that he is a fan of the player.
The publication asserts that Chelsea are now ready to accelerate contract negotiations with the England international and hope to tie him down to a new deal before January.
Spurs Web Opinion
Any chances Tottenham had of signing Gallagher now appear to be over, with the midfielder evidently being a key part of Pochettino’s plans. Spurs may perhaps be ruing the fact that they did not push the boat out to sign the 23-year-old in the summer when they had a big opportunity to do so.
