Report: Chelsea staff were unhappy with how Spurs man behaved in dugout last season

The Telegraph have revealed that some Chelsea staff were not happy with Fabio Paratici’s behaviour from behind the dugout when they visited the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season.

Paratici is extremely animated on the touchline during games and is often seen getting into altercations with the match officials.

The Telegraph have revealed that Thomas Tuchel’s staff were displeased with the Spurs managing director’s antics during the London derby last season.

However, it is explained that Antonio Conte ‘appreciates’ having a fighter like Paratici in his corner. The report adds that Paratici not only has a fiery demeanour during matchdays but that he is also a ‘confrontational’ figure at the club on a day-to-day basis.

It is explained that while the 50-year-old commands respect at the club, he does not win too many popularity contests.

The Telegraph claim that Paratici is not shy of giving criticism and is even known to find fault with the food in the Hotspur Way canteen and tell the team doctors how to do their jobs.

Paratici and Conte seem like two peas in a pod as they are both extremely passionate and are not afraid of making their views heard. While there is always the risk of that causing some friction down the line between the pair, everything seems to be going quite smoothly for the time being.
