Report: Chelsea step up pursuit of German international Spurs target

90 min have claimed that Chelsea have now stepped up their pursuit of Tottenham target Youssoufa Moukoko ahead of the January transfer window.

Moukoko is having a breakthrough season at Borussia Dortmund, having already found the back of the net six times and provided another four assists in 14 league appearances so far this season (Transfermarkt).

It was 90 min who first reported on Tottenham’s interest in the 18-year-old, revealing last month that the North London club had sent scouts to Germany to run the rule over him this season.

The same publication have now revealed that Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea have ramped up their interest in the German international after having failed with their pursuit of Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, who is now Real Madrid-bound.

90 min allege that the Blues have made contact with Moukoko’s representatives regarding a January switch to Stamford Bridge.

The report adds that Man Utd and Liverpool are also keen on the Dortmund star while Spurs have been informed of the player’s desire to leave the Bundesliga club.

Spurs Web Opinion

Moukoko would not fit the profile of forward Spurs need as the 18-year-old prefers playing through the middle. The likes of Chelsea and Man Utd need a centre-forward more desperately than Tottenham do, which is why I expect one of those two clubs to win the race for the German.
