Report: Paratici making it clear to transfer target how much Conte wants him at Spurs

Fabio Paratici is reportedly making it very clear to Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger about how much Antonio Conte wants him to come to Tottenham and be an important aspect in his defensive back three.

Chelsea will need to make Antonio Rudiger one of the club’s top earners to stave off potential interest from Tottenham, according to Football Insider.

The Germany international’s current deal with the Blues is set to expire at the end of the season, unless he puts pen to paper on a new contract.

Rudiger, 28, has been one of Chelsea’s most integral players in the last two seasons, which has led to Thomas Tuchel reiterating his intentions to keep his compatriot in West London.

The situation has left Chelsea in a precarious situation with a host of top European sides monitoring the centre-back over a potential coup for the summer.

Tottenham have been tipped to be among the interested parties for Rudiger, with reports hinting Antonio Conte’s side will look to make a strong proposal to tempt him to N17.

As such, Football Insider claim that Chelsea will need to ‘break the bank’ to keep him on board to ultimately fend off their London rivals.

Rudiger is currently earning £100,000 per week, while club-record signing Romelu Lukaku takes the throne as Chelsea’s highest earner with £325,000 per week.

Chelsea do have a problem on their hands in terms of what Rudiger is asking for, but if they want to keep him that much then they may have to be prepared to pay out.

But similarly, if Spurs want Rudiger, they will have to do the same and there are question marks as to whether that will happen.
