Report: Chelsea willing to offer Ziyech to Spurs in part-exchange deal

The Telegraph reveal that Chelsea have expressed interest in Yves Bissouma but Tottenham have knocked back the Blues’ advances for the midfielder.

The Telegraph claim that Graham Potter wants to make reinforcements to Chelsea’s midfield and is looking to reunite with the Mali international at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have allegedly enquired about Bissouma’s availability to their London rivals and are even said to be willing to let Hakim Ziyech move the other way as part of the deal.

However, the report states that Tottenham have made it clear to Chelsea that the 26-year-old is not for sale this month.

Interestingly, The Telegraph add that Potter’s men could now turn their attentions to Barcelona’s Frank Kessie or Juventus’ Weston McKennie. Both Kessie (La Repubblica) and McKennie (Corriere Della Sera) have been mooted as targets for Spurs over the last few weeks.

Bissouma might not have lived up to his potential at Spurs but it would make no sense to sell him just six months after he arrived at the club. The Mali international could still prove his worth if he is given a run of consecutive starts under his belt, even though he seems to have fallen below Pape Matar Sarr in Conte’s pecking order for the moment.
