Report: Chinese club make approach for Tottenham midfielder

Chinese Super League club Beijing Sinobo Guoan have made an approach for Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele, according to Sky Sports News.

This is the latest of several rumours linking the Belgian with a move away from the club during the current transfer window.

The 31-year-old midfielder’s existing contract runs out at the end of the season and it doesn’t look like the club are going to be able to reach an agreement over a new deal. Dembele has not featured for Spurs since picking up an ankle injury against Wolves at the start of November.

Additionally, Pochettino has already made it clear that Tottenham have to move players on before they can add to their squad this month since the squad size is already bloated.

Dembele is expected to be one of the players who makes way along with the likes of Llorente, Janssen and Nkoudou. The Belgian has been a great servant for Spurs, having featured over 250 times in the past seven seasons.

If he is indeed leaving, Tottenham fans will be hoping the midfielder recovers from injury in time to feature in one last game so that fans can bid a proper farewell to the midfield powerhouse.
