Report: Christian Eriksen makes decision on potential Premier League return

According to a report by The Daily Star, Christian Eriksen has decided against a return to the Premier League and is instead holding out for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Eriksen has been unable to force himself into Antonio Conte’s plans, having failed to get a consistent run in the Inter side since he left Tottenham to join the Serie A club in January of this year.

The Daily Star claim that although Inter are looking to cash in on Eriksen next month, the former Tottenham midfielder has made it clear that he does not want to return to England.

One of the main reasons he is said to have sought an exit from Spurs was to seek a new challenge in a new league, it is suggested that the midfielder considers a return to the Premier League as a step back in his career.

The report claims that the 28-year-old has rejected Manchester United’s advances while Arsenal have made it clear that they have other priorities despite being offered the Inter star.

It is suggested that PSG are interested in signing Eriksen next month and that the midfielder is waiting for an offer from the Ligue 1 giants.

One can certainly understand why Eriksen would not want to return to the Premier League with his tail between his leagues, having revealed his intention of pursuing a new challenge last year. Interestingly, PSG have also been heavily linked with a loan move for Dele Alli. One would imagine that the French giants will not sign both players and would thus have to choose between the two former Spurs teammates.
