Report: 27-year-old to snub January Spurs exit

The Daily Mail claim that Christian Eriksen is set to reject any attempt to sell him for £30m in January, as he wants to leave the club on his own terms, namely on a free in the summer.

Eriksen’s current contract runs out at the end of this season, meaning he can sign a pre-contract agreement with any non-English club as early as January.

The report also claims that Mauricio Pochettino is already frustrated that Eriksen is still at the football club, with the Argentine clearly wanting him sold over the last transfer window.

The Daily Mail report that Tottenham wanted £100m for Eriksen in the summer, but will now accept a cut-price £30m in January.

However, the great Dane is well aware that he will have far more options if he waits and leaves the club on a free.

Eriksen has reportedly repeatedly turned down new contract offers from Tottenham, with his eye on a big signing-on bonus at a new club in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The only hope is that Tottenham can somehow use Eriksen as part of a Dybala deal with Juventus in January, but my head says that the Dane will leave for nothing in the summer.
