Report: Christian Eriksen’s chances of a Real Madrid move may be back on

Christian Eriksen’s hopes of a move to Real Madrid could still be alive if Paul Pogba decides to sign a new contract at Manchester United.

Spanish news outlet AS are reporting that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has begun talks with United chief Ed Woodward about extending his stay at Old Trafford.

The report claims that Christian Eriksen is viewed by Madrid as their Plan B if they are unable to secure the signature of the Frenchman, who has two years left to run on his current contract.

Eriksen is out of contract in North London next summer and would be able to agree a pre-contract deal with the Spanish giants in January ahead of becoming a free agent at the end of the current campaign.

Spurs have offered the Dane a new four-year deal which would bring him in line with the likes of Dele Alli, who earns around £150,000 a week (Mirror), with only Harry Kane earning more at £200,000 a week (The Sun).

It is no secret that Eriksen would jump at the chance to move to the Bernabeu after admitting during the summer that he wanted to leave Spurs whilst inviting interest from Real Madrid (Ekstra Bladet).
