Report claims Brendan Rodgers has made decision regarding Spurs approach

Eurosport have claimed that Brendan Rodgers will not be leaving Leicester City to take over at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

With Julian Nagelsman agreeing to join Bayern Munich at the end of the season, The Daily Mail claimed that Rodgers is the man at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist but the club are also considering moves for the likes of Erik ten Hag, Gareth Southgate and Ralf Rangnick.

The Daily Star also backed up the claim that Rodgers is now Spurs’ number one target but added that the North London club are aware that they face an uphill battle to poach the 48-year-old from Leicester.

When asked about the speculation linking him with the Spurs job last week, the Foxes boss admitted that Tottenham were ‘a fantastic club’ but he insisted that he was fully focused on his job at the King Power Stadium.

Eurosport have now claimed that Rodgers has decided against taking the Spurs job. However, the report adds that the former Liverpool boss will not be getting a pay rise at Leicester even if he manages to guide them into the Champions League.
