Report claims club will ‘have to lower’ asking price for striker wanted by Spurs

Reports from Spain indicate that Real Betis are likely to relax their initial €60 million asking price for rumoured Spurs target Loren Moron as they look to cash in on him this summer.

Moron has been in excellent form for the last two seasons since breaking into the Betis side and Jose Mourinho is said to be a fan of the 26-year-old (La Razon).

Estadio Deportivo recently revealed that both Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli have been told to pay €60 million for the Spanish striker this summer.

However, the same publication now reports (as relayed by Sport Witness) that the inflated asking price is a negotiation tactic from the La Liga side and they don’t expect the price to be met.

The report asserts that the club will have to lower their valuation once they enter into negotiations for the striker’s sale, particularly due to the financial downturn caused by the pandemic.

It is claimed that Moron will not force a move away from Betis but that the club are keen to cash in on the striker this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Moron is very similar to Harry Kane as he likes to drop deep and get involved in the build-up play, as well as being a technically gifted finisher. I don’t think he will be able to play alongside Kane as he isn’t much of a target man and does not have the pace to run in behind defences. We should ideally be going for a target man of the Llorente mould to offer us a plan B.
