Report claims Conte has offered himself to PSG on two-year contract

According to Le Parisien, Antonio Conte has now ‘offered’ himself to Paris Saint-Germain amidst Mauricio Pochettino’s impending exit.

The same publication reported last week that the Italian is on PSG’s shortlist to replace Pochettino at the end of the season.

It was claimed that Zinedine Zidane was the Ligue 1 giants’ first choice but the former Real Madrid boss was more interested in taking over the France job from Didier Deschamps.

Le Parisien have now gone a step further by reporting that Conte has ‘offered’ himself to PSG, asserting that the Spurs boss has informed the French club that he would be willing to sign a two-year contract.

This has also been backed up by The Times, who claim that Conte is one of the leading contenders for the PSG job.

They add that should the former Inter boss move to the French capital, Pochettino could move the opposite way and complete a sensational return to Spurs.

At every club that he has been at, Conte has put pressure on the board to back him in the transfer window. I suspect the Italian is doing the same here by using PSG’s interest to his advantage. I would be surprised if the 52-year-old decided to jump ship, just months after taking over at Spurs.
