Report claims Conte is keen on leaving Spurs for European giants this summer

According to Le Parisien, Antonio Conte wants to be the next Paris Saint-Germain head coach in the summer.

Over recent weeks, reports have indicated that Conte is already planning for the summer transfer window with Tottenham and wants as many as six new signings to be brought in (Telegraph).

However, if Le Parisien’s update is to be believed, the Italian might not be in charge of the North London club at the start of next season.

It is asserted that PSG are on the lookout for a replacement for former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, with Conte being among the names on their wishlist.

The report claims that Zinedine Zidane is the Ligue 1 giants’ number one choice but the former Real Madrid boss is more interested in taking over the France job from Didier Deschamps.

It is asserted that Conte is keen on becoming the next PSG manager and is confident that he will be able to secure the role.

Conte will likely be on PSG’s shortlist but I do not think the Italian would want to jump ship so soon into his tenure at Spurs. Perhaps, his entourage are feeding these rumours to the press to put pressure on the Tottenham hierarchy to back him in a major way this summer.
