Report claims Gareth Bale’s chances of leaving Real Madrid are slim

Real Madrid have come to the conclusion that Gareth Bale is “unsellable” according to a report by Spanish news outlet AS.

The La Liga champions are instead ready to look to sell other members of Zinedine Zidane’s squad this summer with the Welshman looking set to see out the remainder of his contract which runs until 2022.

The Welsh international has been linked with a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur with Deportes Cuatro having claimed last month that Jose Mourinho was keen to bring him back to North London.

Bale admitted in an interview with Sky Sports earlier this week that he would consider playing once again in the Premier League but Los Blancos have made it difficult for him to leave on previous occasions.

The report claims that Bale is determined to make Madrid pay every penny of his rumoured £600,000 a week pre-tax wages over the course of the next couple of years.

There is no doubt that Bale was one of the most exciting players we have seen in a Spurs shirt for many a year, however, his wages make it practically impossible for him to ever return to North London.
