Report claims highly-rated Norwegian rejected Spurs move in the summer

Andreas Schjelderup rejected a host of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur in favour of a move to Nordsjaelland, according to a report by Danish publication VG,

Schjelderup is one of the hottest young properties in Norweigian football, with the midfielder impressing for his country at Under-15 and Under-16 level.

It was only a matter of time before he made a big move with many of Europe’s heavy-hitters reportedly keen on his services.

The report reveals that the 16-year-old had a trial at Spurs and although the North London club wanted to sign him, he decided to sign for Nordsjaelland instead last summer.

The midfielder also is said to have rejected approaches from the likes of Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

Schjelderup’s decision to join the Danish club has been vindicated with the midfielder having broke into the first-team recently after impressing for the club’s Under-18s.

The youngster certainly has not looked out of place in the Danish top-flight, scoring three goals in seven league appearances so far.
