Report claims how much Spurs and Arsenal will have to pay for defensive midfielder

Tottenham will have to pay £23 million if they wish to sign Olympiacos midfielder Mady Camara, according to reports from Greece.

Defensive midfield is one of the positions where Jose Mourinho is said to be keen on making additions this summer as he goes about rejuvenating the Spurs squad (Football Insider).

PageNews reported at the start of this month that Tottenham were keeping tabs on Camara ahead of a possible summer move.

The 23-year-old has been one of Olympiacos’ stand out players this season and impressed against both Spurs and Arsenal in European competition earlier this season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reported to have requested more information on tough-tackling midfielder after his performance in Olympiacos’ win over Arsenal in the Europa League. (SDNA)

SNDA now claim that the North London rivals will have to cough up £23million if they want to prise Camara away from the Greek side this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

To be honest, Camara didn’t really catch my eye when we played Olympiacos in the Champions League earlier in the season. However, I believe a defensive midfielder should be top of our list of priorities this summer. If Jose believes Camara is the right man for us, then we should do everything we can to sign him.
