Report claims Pochettino could still make Spurs return this summer

The Sun have now reported that Mauricio Pochettino could still make a return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but only if PSG are able to find a top-class replacement.

The report claims that the French giants would want to lure either former Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane or current French international manager, Didier Deschamps to Paris in order to let Pochettino leave.

However, Deschamps would only become available after the European Championships are over this summer, making it a long wait for PSG and Tottenham.

It was reported earlier this summer that Pochettino had told PSG that he wanted to leave, specifically to return to North London. Alasdair Gold claimed that the Argentine felt as though he had unfinished business at Spurs.

However, PSG eventually extended Pochettino’s contract by another year, making it even harder for the Lilywhites to get him back.

Spurs Web Opinion:

PSG are already making some class signings and Pochettino must be at the heart of that. For the Argentine to just up and leave so close to pre-season would be mad. I expect him to return to Spurs in the next 24 months.
