Report claims PSG have stepped up interest to sign Spurs star

The speculation linking Dele Alli with a move to Paris Saint-Germain has intensified since Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins at the Ligue 1 club.

Jose Mourinho recently hinted that Alli is not working hard enough to force himself back into his plans, which sounded quite ominous for the midfielder’s future in North London.

The Guardian now reports that Pochettino is extremely keen on landing the 24-year-old on loan and has even told the club’s hierarchy that the Spurs star is their number one target this window.

The Argentine reportedly believes that the England international can make a ‘great contribution’ until the end of the season.

Alli has not fallen out with anyone at Tottenham but it is said that the midfielder is desperate to leave in order to get some game time ahead of the Euros in the summer.

However, the report suggests that Daniel Levy and Mourinho are both reluctant to let the former MK Dons man leave as they believe he could have a part to play in the second half of the season given Tottenham’s hectic schedule.

The England international however was once again left out of the squad for this afternoon’s match at Sheffield United.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that speculation linking Eriksen with a return to Spurs has intensified over the past few days suggests that there are perhaps some developments regards to Alli’s potential move to Paris. I certainly cannot see the North Londoners re-signing the Dane if Alli remains at the club.
