Report claims Real Madrid have three options after Bale’s loan ends at Tottenham

Spanish publication Spanish outlet AS have claimed that there are three scenarios which Real Madrid have planned after Gareth Bale’s loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur ends.

The Welshman, who is out of contract in the summer of 2022 (Telegraph) capped a spectacular return to North London during the summer transfer window when he returned on a season long loan deal.

Bale, 31, left Spurs for a then world record £85m in 2013 and went on to score more than 100 goals and win four Champions League titles with the Spanish giants.

A run of injuries, indifferent form and a deteriorating relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane had seen Bale struggle for regular game time over the past year (transfermarkt).

The report claims that Madrid could hope that Bale rekindles his form and goes on to have an impressive season in the Premier League which could spark a bidding war for his services.

A second option could see Bale return to Tottenham for a further loan spell, however they would have to convince Daniel Levy to cover the full cost of his salary.

The third and most unlikely option appears to be that Bale could return to the Madrid fold and reintegrate into the squad.
