According to a report by French publication Le Journal de Dimanche, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has confirmed that rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Thomas Meunier is on his way out of the club.
The right-back is out of contract this summer and according to the report, he is one of a number of players who will leave the Parc des Princes along with the likes of Thiago Silva, Edison Cavani, and Layvin Kurzawa.
Meunier has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over the past couple of months.
Reports have suggested that Jose Mourinho has personally called the experienced full-back to convince him to make a move to North London and that the defender was left flattered by the Spurs head coach’s call (ESPN).
The Lilywhites are said to be facing competition from Liverpool for the Belgian international’s signature with the Reds said to be keen to land Meunier as cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold (Le10Sport).

While Meunier is not signing to get Spurs fans really excited, he will certainly be a solid acquisition under the current financial circumstances and could prove an important squad option. He also seems like a Mourinho type player to me and might fancy his chances of ousting Aurier to become first-choice right-back just as he did at PSG.
